PODIN: Pick One > Do It Now - Marketing Inspiration vol 1
by James @HelpYard - View Comments
Here at HelpYard we want to keep you inspired, and, more importantly, keep you executing. So here's the first in what will be a regular series of posts on marketing ideas for you to implement immediately:
Instructions:
- Pick 1
- Do it NOW
1. ‘Drive-By Giving’
Contact an existing client at random and offer to donate $50 to a charity of their choice – blog about it, tweet about it, ask for further suggestions.
2. ‘Decimation Sale’
Announce (blog, tweet, email) that every 10th customer gets 75% off – give the lucky ones a forum to brag about it: blog comments, testimonials page, and ReTweet their delight.
3. ‘My Cup’s Half Full’
Offer loyalty purchase cards? Broadcast that you're giving them out for a day with half the slots already stamped – those that pick them up will buy from you again to fill the remaining slots, as people are motivated by the fear of losing out.
4. ‘Strangest Use’
Start a competition for the strangest use of your product – get customers to Tweet, blog, or post videos – collate all these on your website, and award prizes. Stick up a photo or video of you doing something weird with it as a starter.
5. ‘Help to Help’
Ask you customers to Tweet their suggestions for who to help, and what to do on your annual charity day. Ask for volunteers to help you out, give freebies to those that turn up, blog/video/tweet the whole experience.
Right.. No waiting around: Pick one and Go!
Please do Tweet (@helpyard), comment below, blog, or otherwise let us know how you get on - and let us know if you have any suggestions of your own that we can use in future.
